------------------------------------ Halloween Belatedly (but with good reason) Better late than never, right? What a fucking week -- one I gladly kiss goodbye. On Monday, I flew into Cleveland, met with customers, drove to Columbus, met with more customers and flew home. Exhausting, yes, but not horrible. Then on Tuesday, Montreal. Met with a customer, went shopping. I could have spent thousands in this store called San Remo, where the sales person exuberantly dashed around and exclaimed such things as "this is simply fantastic on you" and "when you walked in, i immediately thought of you in this ($2000, unbelievably awesome vintage-esque) coat" in that darling Quebecois accent. It was a difficult place to leave (mostly because the sales girl made it so). So I stayed over in Montreal, had a 3-hour training session at a law firm the next morning and rushed to get a taxi back to the airport. Felt a little dizzy in the cab. Hmm. And it just spiraled downward from there. I basically walked into the house and spent the next 12 hours in front of the toilet. Lovely, no? In the end, we figured it was a stomach virus. Ana had it on Sunday (Lily escaped luckily), Lisher on Tuesday night/Wednesday, and me on Wed. A lovely family ralph-fest. Thank god for close family -- we called for grandmother reinforcement on Wednesday night and my mother-in-law blew in like a baby fairy. She fed the ladies, bathed them and put them to bed, then flew out again. All hail the Nanna!!!! 11:02 a.m. 2007-11-04
