------------------------------------ Velky ano or velky ne? You decide. This picture is for my friend Heather, whose birthday is today. She is one of the only people who would appreciate the Czech phrase I've embedded onto the ladies' new onesies. Except I've spelled one word wrong. Oh well. Velky ne means "big no" in Czech. It's not supposed to make sense. When we lived in Prague, I only learned a handful of words and would string them together to sound more authentically Eastern European. Being 100% Polish (American) didn't get me very far. Velky ne, however . . . problably stopped the advances of at least one misguided Czech boy. In Costa Rica, the extend of my Spanish commingled with the release of Die Hard 3 and a newfound love of orange juice, so my comrades often heard me say, "jugo de naranja . . . la venganza!" Good weekend everybody. 1:39 p.m. 2007-11-30
