------------------------------------ NannyQuest 2 Today we took the ladies to the doctor -- Ana now weighs 10.7 and Lily is at 13.14. It is hard for me to remember when we brought them home from the hospital and they were 4 and 5 pounds, respectively. They also got a new round of shots (don't ask me which ones, I can't ever remember) which caused much crying and jaw-quivering. The jaw thing is one of those baby actions that makes me all weepy; it's so pathetically cute. Tonight we also interviewed another nanny candidate. She's 22, lives with her parents and seems nice. And young. It makes me wonder what I was like at 22. That was the year I got my library degree and first university job. I can only imagine how green and dorky I must have been. Anyway, those of you who read this who actually knew me back then can comment freely. That I'm still friends with ya'll must point to something. Oh, and I didn't ask the nanny any of the questions I mentioned two posts ago, though my friend Amy did give me a good one to add to my repertoire: "why do you think there are so many cute bears for children, when in reality bears are dangerous?" 11:53 p.m. 2006-12-07
