library mom: systematically cataloging all aspects of raising two babies at the same time

"Why would you want to go there?" -- my mom
Did I mention that I am going to Iceland soon? Yes I know, a very un-motherlike thing. But I've worked through the guilt with this mantra: the girls will probably never remember the 4 days you'll be gone, but you'll remember it forever. And Lisher gave his full blessing. My friend H is shooting a TV show in Reykjavik for two weeks and I basically invited myself by insisting I could hold something like a camera or a light. She's letting me stay in her hotel room (which cut the cost of the trip in half) and hopefully tag along for some film action. Iceland has been on my top 10 list for eons. The timing is a bit strange but my mantra is helping me work through residual mom guilt. Countdown: 23 days.
