Snoopy goes flying

In this picture the ladies are wearing hats that my grandmother had knitted for me and my sister when we were babies. They look like little aviator caps! Smashing, darling.
This weekend we took the girls out in the car. Ana screamed for a while and then suddenly realized that she could control the sound of her own voice. The "waaah, waaah, waaah" of her crying became little sobs and then morphed into these monk-like "ooough, ooogh, oooogh" intonations. Then she was quiet, and had fallen asleep.
Lily sat quietly next to her sister the whole time. We knew she was awake because she'd sputter out a slew of spit in the form of raspberry sounds. Everyone tells me that she'd probably teething but I think she just likes making bubbles.
