DayCare part 2

Nothing sums up end of summer like a good pool party. Or the first pool party of your life (see above).
Truth be told, I did get weepy when we dropped the ladies off at daycare yesterday. They, however, happily bounded out of our arms when they saw all the new toys to play with. I only called once to check in on them and apparently they were doing well even though they barely napped. We got them out of the house easily enough this morning as well (it is 8:50 as I write this, and we were there by 8:10 or so). It will be much more difficult when only one of us has to manage it all (as Lisher will have to do next week when I am partying in Iceland.)
Living in the city has its benefits (like it is really cheap and convenient) but there are certain pain-in-the-ass factors to deal with when you have kids that weigh the scales in the other direction (mainly revolving around cars and parking).
Example: when it rains and our car is not right out front, I have to put the girls in the stroller and run to the car. Then load them in the car. Stroller goes in the trunk. Drive to daycare and reverse the process: stroller out, girls out, etc. It's exhausting. Plus it means leaving a baby sitting in the rain while I strap the other one in the car seat. I guess this is why we are looking at a house out in Media today.
