January is dog suit time

Happy belated New Year, everybody! It's been a long and windy-type journey through the holidays, and though I'm reluctant to say it, I'm glad the season is passed. Overabundance of things can really make you tired, you know? Family, food, gatherings, good tidings, etc.
For the last 5 days, I've been away at a work-related conference in Florida. It was my first trip away and it made me remember how nice sleep can be. Also, swimmming in pools. It was also my first re-introduction to my colleagues. Most of them blurted out, "you look good for having had twins" to which I tried to bite my tongue with my usual torrade of TMI(about the second surgery, about being so sick) that I replied, "thanks, yeah, can you get me a scotch and ginger, please?" and received some strange looks.
