library mom: systematically cataloging all aspects of raising two babies at the same time

Long and winding weekend

Whew, we are tired. We spend two nights in Rehoboth beach with our dear old Chicago friends D&J and their one-year old Riley. Then we went to my dad's for the day, then my mom's (all down the Jersey shore) to hang out and get familial. Did I mention that we are tired?

Good things: relaxation and wine drinking in DE, putting the ladies in a pool for the first time (loved it), letting them "walk" (holding fingers) down to the ocean and all of the ensuing squealing . . . yay. Also good: my mom bought the ladies their first shoes (yes we've been barefoot all summer, but we also have not been attempting to walk either) and I bought some Julius flip flops for me and lady Kate. Between my Paul Frank and Deery Lou obsessions, the ladies will be surrouded with cute for a long long time.
